  • Crime - breaking and entering/robbery

Guess it's okay for me to post this now.  It'll probably be in the newspaper soon anyway.

Most of you know that my husband manages a store here in town.  Well, last night, someone broke into that store and robbed it.  Main thing they got was all the cash (almost $400), but it doesn't appear (so far) that lots of inventory is missing.

Now, please bear with me, but unless you've ever experienced being robbed, then you may not understand when I say, we feel violated.  It changes you.  For example, I go to Wal-Mart, and as I'm walking the ailes, passing people, I'm looking and wondering, "Are you the one who did it?" and "Are you buying that with the money you stole from us?!"  It's crazy.

A lot of you know how my husband is, literally will give you the shirt off his back.  He would go out of his way to make sure customers were happy.  He's not shrunk back in his witness for Christ; in fact, he has openly advertised it on the sign.  He didn't deserve this!

Frankly, it's heart-changing.  It changes your outlook and trust level.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm grateful......grateful that:  no one was hurt, the robbers were gone by the time he got there to open the store this morning, that more things weren't taken, that more damage wasn't done, etc.  Yes, it could've been much worse.

Yes, we have forgiven whoever did this.....we're just waiting on God to work out the rest.

Please keep everyone in your prayers, including the business behind ours that was robbed over the weekend.

Thanks for your patience during my rant.  I know most of you are going through so much worse.  Please know that you are also in my thoughts and prayers.

  • I am so very sorry to hear about the robbery. I know that it must be awful and that you all are experiencing so many different emotions after dealing with the shock of it. I am praying for you right this minute.

  • I'm so sorry Sebrena!!!  I hate that.  I will be praying for y'all.  :(

  • UGH. And the hits keep coming. SO sorry to hear about this. Regardless, I'm still praying.

  • To sebrena,

halo we are apollo team, we need your support,.

    Never ending sun

    Hello there,

That's right. We want your sunrise!
And we want you to join us to broadcast a never ending sun. Live!

The idea comes from one of our stupid thought:
Why can't we keep a gorgeous moment that will never end?

This is a project which needs people all around the world to achieve. We
want people from different time zones to shoot the sunrises in their local
    places.

Our optimistic outcome is installing 24 screens to display sunrises  around
the Earth. The Sun will keep rising from screen to screen, from  bottom to
top vertically. This 'never ending sun' will last for 24 hours in a  day!

In fact there are still many problems to solve, it's been a tough  way so
far. Therefore we are in need of supports.
Your  help will be most appreciated no matter in what aspects.
It could be supporting us technically, joining us, spreading it out, giving
us suggestions or anything else you could think of.
You name it, we do it.

Details please refer to our links.

We sincerely seek for your kindly help. Give us a shout if you think this
    is awesome :)

    Many Thanks,

  • I have no idea who the previous comment (apollo_sunshine) is.  Do any of you?

  • I came over to thank you for the birthday wishes.  I am so sorry to hear about the robbery.  I completely understand the feeling of being violated.  We had a car broken into years ago and as I drove around that day (minus a driver side window) I was suspicious of every car I passed...wondering if they could be the ones.  It's a very odd feeling.  I am praying for God's peace to cover you as you process this.

  • Oh Sebrena! I am so very sorry that happened to you guys!

I know how you feel. I was stalked by a pervert when I was in college. He tried to break in on me one night when I was alone. If it wasn't for my friend Jeff, I might not be here now.

My prayers are w/ you guys!

  • i know exactly how you feel... when that man reached his hand through my window in the middle of the night, every man i saw [even my trash man] was a suspect to me... and i saw the guy that night... do you know how many men fit the description of the man i saw???  it was [and is] very eeery to this day!!!

i'm so sorry you're giong through this!!  it's horrible, i know!  praise God no one was hurt!  and forgiveness if the first step to getting over it... good for you.

i sure wish you cuold see my house... it looks so good!  you wouldn't even recognize my bedroom... LOL!!!
