  • Went to Harrison, did some work for Pa and Nanny.  Took pics of house to sell.  Went to old church and saw some friends.  Arrived home at 1:00AM.  Guess what I've accomplished today.......absolutely NOTHING!

Here is a pic of a dear couple, friends of ours from Harrison:

Yes, they are true Harley Davidson people.....he is a relative of the original "Davidson".  Their wedding anniversary (32 years) was on the 4th.  They are absolutely precious!  They plan to come visit us here soon, and I can hardly wait!!!

  • Vacation

Eric is on vacation this week.  We're not going anywhere, but we do have to go to Harrison to work on our old house tomorrow.  We all slept in pretty late this morning.

He's making breakfast, and here I am on the computer.  Want to know why?  Cuz I'm a terrible cook!  Seriously!  My kids BEGGED him to make breakfast this morning.  They have tolerated my cooking, but now that Dad is home...they will have "good" cooking.  He is extremely talented at it.  It's just an art that I don't have, but I'm so blessed that he does have that talent.  To top it off, he enjoys it....so I'm double blessed!

Well, I better quit layzenaround and get busy on this house.  Hope you all have a blessed day and blessed vacations!

  • EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT.....LOL!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who watched "American Inventor", then you will understand.  For those who didn't, bear with me please.

Eric and I have a new "coping" saying for when the going gets tough.  It comes from the above mentioned TV show.  There was a guy (who has done this for 2 seasons now) who brought his invention to the show.  It's called a "MY THERAPY BUDDY".  It's a blue-stuffed "thing" that has a big belly and long arms......when you push it's toe it says, "Everything is going to be alright."  Only it's a woman's voice, kinda whispery/soft, and she says that phrase very slowly.  ["EEEEverything is going to be aaaaaallllllright."]  One of the judges on the show told the man, "If I needed this thing to tell me everything was going to be alright, I assure you I would know it wasn't going to be alright."  To top it all off, the thing has it's own website and you can click the "HEAR MY VOICE" button to hear what I am talking about......what makes it funny is if you could just see the episode that I'm referring to.....first season, not second season.  ANYWAY, now when things are going kinda hairy....we just imitate that thing and bust out laughing, because all you can see is this guy trying to promote this thing.

So, when the going gets tough, the tough just say, "EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT."

  • Back

    I'm home for now.

It was an intense, yet good, conference.  There were lots of great workshops, and we stayed busy from early morn til late night.  I had the privilage of meeting some of the top-top interpreters.  It was exhausting but great!

I was so tired yesterday, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it to church.  I did make it, and I'm glad.

Busy week ahead.  Hope you all are well.

  • I'm up late tonight, packing.  I leave in the morning, riding with another Interpreter to go to an Interpreter conference for 3 days.  Have I ever told you how horrible I am at packing?  BUT ON THE POSITIVE....I know that I'll have all I need, and possibly more, for the trip.  (Staying on the up.)

My youngest son is having a hard time with it.  He's usually not so clingy, but tonight he is like glue.  BUT ON THE POSITIVE....It's wonderful that he loves me and enjoys my company.  (Keeping on the up.)

Also, this conference (ARID Biennial Conference 2007) is a little intimidating.  We're talking with big-wig Interpreters.  I wish I physically felt better, too.  BUT ON THE POSITIVE....I am feeling better than I was 2-3 weeks ago.  (How's that for staying on the up?)

There's so much going on right now.  I'm not at liberty to tell it all on here, and I don't want to get into a bunch of negative/whine.  I do have one request of you....please pray....just call it a "special unspoken request".  Those of you who grew up in little country churches know exactly what I mean.  BUT ON THE POSITIVE....I'm sure you'll all pray, and "everything is going to be alright."  [to understand that last bit, you have to watch American Inventor]

I'll update ya'll (if I can, depending on the time of day/night) when I get back.

  • Still

The verse about "be still and know that I am God" keeps running through my head/spirit.  No matter what the outside circumstances look like, I still stand behind what I said in my last post.  Satan hates it when we stand for God and His word.  So, I'm still staying positive, and still believing.

  • This week God is going to do amazing things!

So, instead of stressing over things (negative), I'm going to attempt to look on the positive.  Here's a start:  God loves me!!!!

    • I know I'm slowly and surely getting better.
    • Fine Arts rehearsal was good yesterday.
    • My boys are good.
    • I have lots of great friends.
    • I got to play Bunco with a precious lady.
    • We had a very nice/fun dinner last night with some friends from church.
    • My husband loves me dearly.
    • I live in a beautiful home, in a great town, with a super church.
    • We are going to sell the house in Harrison, in God's perfect time.
    • God sees me as beautiful.

I'm glad He's working on my attitude.  I'm not all the way there yet, but hopefully, this is a good start.
