  • Blessed

Fever finally broke today!  I plan to go to church.  I am soooo excited!

Just a little brag here, but I am soooo blessed!

God - is so good.  No matter if we're sick or well, He is awesome!  He used my sick time to really slow me down.  I've learned a lot about Him and about myself.  Yikes, I have a LONG way to go, but I'm so glad He hasn't given up on me.  Like the song says, "He who began a good work in you, will be faithful to complete it.  He who started the work will be faithful to complete it in you."  Taken from the verse, "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."  (Philippians 1:6)

Eric - is an amazing husband and father.  I'm so honored to be his bride and mother of his children.  One thing I appreciate the most, he is the same on Monday as he is on Sunday.  No Jekyl and Hyde, just what-you-see-is-what-you-get, Eric.  He's been involved in some extra studies (Global, Joshua's Men, etc), and I am amazed at what I'm seeing.  I didn't think he could get any better, but he is growing by leaps and bounds!  I'm just blown away at what God has done and is doing in our lives.

Tiger - went to the movies with a friend and friend's family.  Friend's parents go in to one movie and send their son and my son into another movie.  What movie did they send my son to see?  Norbit.  Yeah, with Eddie Murphey.  So, Tiger and his friend sit through about 20 minutes of it, looked at each other, and he said, "Let's get out of here.  This is not right."  So they WALKED OUT OF THE MOVIE and waited for friend's parents in the lobby.  I asked him, "What was bad about it?" (I've not seen it, but I could guess.)  He said, "Mom, it started out funny, but pretty soon they started cussing, and I knew we had to get out of there."  I was proud of him.  We're not perfect, not by a long shot, but we've tried to teach the boys to be the same no matter where they are, keep their values and stand for what's right.  They could've watched it and never told a soul, but they decided to do what was right.

Jerry - you know has been praying for a boy in his class to be healed.  (I can hardly wait for the day we see it come to fruition.)  Well, now he is praying for lost extended family members.  He was crying and praying for them!  Watch out, my family and Eric's family are about to have a break-through!

Be blessed and have an amazing Sunday!

  • I am just so impressed at Tiger--that was an amazingly mature decision.  wow.

  • :) God is good, all the time. It's so neat to watch him working, particularly in our families.

  • Glad you are feeling better.  Your boys are great!  They both answered review questions in childrens church this morning.  In fact, Tiger was kinda coaching Jerry with the answer.  And the reward is a piece of candy.  So I tell Jerry to go up and get his piece of candy, Tiger is 'gently' reminding him also, and Jerry looks at Tiger and says "no, I don't want any candy"!  Tiger was like shocked, guess he was the one wanting it!!

  • That is so awesome that they walked out of the movie.  I hope that Jamie and Josh would do the same.  Thanks for sharing that.  Glad you are feeling better.

  • Glad you're better.  Saw you in class Sunday.  And then Sunday night.  Good service, too.  I'm glad I went.

Proud of your kiddos.  Tiger sat in front of me in the evening service.  I think he and his crew were acting more mature than some of the older ones on the same pew.

God soooooo hears the prayers of little ones----look out, indeed!!!  :goodjob:

  • great post - great family.
