  • The Passion Play has been INCREDIBLE!  What an experience to be involved!!!

    Have a WONDERFUL Resurrection Sunday!!!!

  • Blessed

Fever finally broke today!  I plan to go to church.  I am soooo excited!

Just a little brag here, but I am soooo blessed!

God - is so good.  No matter if we're sick or well, He is awesome!  He used my sick time to really slow me down.  I've learned a lot about Him and about myself.  Yikes, I have a LONG way to go, but I'm so glad He hasn't given up on me.  Like the song says, "He who began a good work in you, will be faithful to complete it.  He who started the work will be faithful to complete it in you."  Taken from the verse, "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."  (Philippians 1:6)

Eric - is an amazing husband and father.  I'm so honored to be his bride and mother of his children.  One thing I appreciate the most, he is the same on Monday as he is on Sunday.  No Jekyl and Hyde, just what-you-see-is-what-you-get, Eric.  He's been involved in some extra studies (Global, Joshua's Men, etc), and I am amazed at what I'm seeing.  I didn't think he could get any better, but he is growing by leaps and bounds!  I'm just blown away at what God has done and is doing in our lives.

Tiger - went to the movies with a friend and friend's family.  Friend's parents go in to one movie and send their son and my son into another movie.  What movie did they send my son to see?  Norbit.  Yeah, with Eddie Murphey.  So, Tiger and his friend sit through about 20 minutes of it, looked at each other, and he said, "Let's get out of here.  This is not right."  So they WALKED OUT OF THE MOVIE and waited for friend's parents in the lobby.  I asked him, "What was bad about it?" (I've not seen it, but I could guess.)  He said, "Mom, it started out funny, but pretty soon they started cussing, and I knew we had to get out of there."  I was proud of him.  We're not perfect, not by a long shot, but we've tried to teach the boys to be the same no matter where they are, keep their values and stand for what's right.  They could've watched it and never told a soul, but they decided to do what was right.

Jerry - you know has been praying for a boy in his class to be healed.  (I can hardly wait for the day we see it come to fruition.)  Well, now he is praying for lost extended family members.  He was crying and praying for them!  Watch out, my family and Eric's family are about to have a break-through!

Be blessed and have an amazing Sunday!

  • Sick of being sick....

Missed church this morning.  UGH!  Plan to try and go tonight.

    Someone asked my symptoms:

    • Fatigue/Weakness
    • Cough
    • Nose (sometimes stuffy, sometimes runny)
    • Body ache (probably from all the coughing)
    • Headache
    • Dizziness (comes and goes)
    • Fever (hopefully gone for good now)
    • Grouchy/Cranky

So, whoever wanted to know, for whatever reason, there you go.  Sounds like fun, huh?  One more thing, then I'm back to bed.  Please continue to pray for my friend Dana and her family.  I can't go into it on here, but just know that they desperately need your prayers.

Hope you all are well and stay well!

  • Now, my brain isn't all that sharp, so when Jerry came in saying, "I just got chased by a bald dog!"  I had him repeat it....a few times.  I thought, probably just a short hair or maingy dog.  Nope, it was really a BALD dog!  To be specific, a hairless Chihuahua, running loose in the neighborhood.  Now, I'm a believer in the "all-God's-creatures" thing, but honey, this thing is flat-out U-G-L-Y!  Anyway, no harm, no foul.  Everyone (hopefully dog included) is safe and home.

I missed today and will miss tomorrow of work.  I am so weak (which is so irritating for me), irritable, dizzy, stuffed-up, sneezing, coughing, feverish, and to top it all off, my intestines have decided to act up!  I don't have time for this!  I'm too busy to be sick!!!

Please, pray for my friend Dana.  She is in the hospital in Louisiana.  They're doing lots of tests, but they still haven't figured out the problem yet.

I'll try to get on here tomorrow......sometime.

  • The weekend was fabulous!!!  I am so proud of all the participants (and chaperons).  Everyone had a great time.  Check out this site for the stats.

Only bad thing, I now have the yuckies.  Popping some Benedryl and Advil, then going to bed.

Good thing Spring Break is next week!  I'm sooooo ready!!!!!!!!!!

  • HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY TAIL?

Because I seem to be chasing it at the moment, but I can't find it!

Exciting news!!!  Tiger and Jerry were baptized last Sunday night!!!!!  This Moma had "lipstick on both earlobes"!  Yes, I shed a few tears, too.

The Fine Arts girls (who somehow got the name Silent 2 Sign) did a fantastic job Sunday night.  God is working awesome things through them, and it shows!  I was so proud.

Between Easter Drama rehearsals, Fine Arts rehearsals and trip, other ministry opportunities that seem to be popping-up, and life (job, home, family, etc..) I am a little busy.  I'll update as I can.

Spring Break is coming soon!  Then, I will be on here  A LOT more.  LOL!

    Be blessed YA'LL!

  • Change of plans....

I had PLANNED to go to Harrison today.  INSTEAD, here's my weekend (so far):

    • Friday night, Tiger had a friend spend the night.
    • I also took care of one of my neighbors children
    • Took her with me for the Fine Arts practice at 8PM.
    • Waited for her sister to get off work, etc....
    • Got in bed around 1:30AM.
    • Alarm went off this morning at 4AM.
    • Eric went in to work early.
    • Took care of some phone business, e-mails, etc....
    • Took Tiger's friend home
    • Took boys to play with their friend Dillon
    • Went to get Eric from work (planning to drop him off at the house on my way out of town.)

INSTEAD, I hear how much he'd like to go fishing and relax, etc.  SO:

    • I make some last minute phone calls to get people in place to take care of the Harrison stuff for me
    • Grab a bite to eat (since it's lunch and the cook out is at supper time)
    • Get ready
    • Head out to where the boys are for fishing and cook out. (him fishing)
    • Had a nice visit
    • Arrived back home around 8:30PM (pre-time change)
    • Changed clocks before forgetting
    • Working on a form for a lady from church
    • Updating Xanga, e-mail, etc

Now, tomorrow looks something like this:

    • Try to get up early enough to look decent for Sunday School and Church
    • After Sunday School and Church, leave early (very unusual for me)
    • Order/pick-up Pizza for the Fine Arts Team
    • Be back at the church by 12:30PM with said Pizza
    • Begin practice by 1PM
    • Leave church by 3PM
    • Come home and change clothes again
    • Be back at the church by 4:30PM
    • Have meeting, practice, and sound check
    • Service at 6PM (possibly Interpreting service for Deaf guests)

So, if I don't update or respond often to your posts, please don't be offended.  I will get to you ASAP.

Well, at least the colors were right, due to those being Interpreter colors.  These are a fun waste of time.

  • Practices, work, etc.....just busy.

Now, I'm off to get the boys ready for church.

Perhaps I'll get EVERYTHING done soon, and be able to do a REAL update......LOL, who am I kidding?  Who ever gets it ALL done, really?

  • Third times a charm???

I certainly hope so!  I've only tried and tried to create this post!!!

Anyway, as for the update, promised so long ago......

    First, the not-so-good news:

NORMAN is seeing a clinic next month to go through a battery of tests.

PA got another shot in his spine today.

NANNY is on a steady decline.

Now, the rest of the story:

Eric, the boys, and I are good and busy.

    Church is wonderful.
